Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an authorized bridal retailer and an unauthorized retailer?
Bridal Perfections is proud to be an authorized retailer of the bride gowns and lines we carry. Authorized retailers must meet manufacturer's set guidelines each season and represent the quality of merchandise displayed and service to customers before and after the sale. Always check to make sure the store you are purchasing your dress from is an authorized retailer either by the manufacturer's website or phone number. Buying a gown from an unauthorized retailer is a gamble- your dress could come in the wrong color, size, or be damaged. Don't take a chance on your special day.
How far in advance should I purchase my bridal and bridesmaid gowns?
Bridal Perfections suggests ordering the dresses at least 4 months+ before the wedding. This gives enough time for the dresses to be received by the manufacturer and then to be altered. Please be aware that dresses are often discontinued at little notice to the bridal shop. If you have found the dress of your dreams, Bridal Perfections suggest to order the dress and then have it stored at the bridal shop for safe keeping.
How long does it take to order a dress and what is the down payment?
Bridal and other dresses orders can take up to three months to arrive from the order date. Need the dress sooner? Bridal Perfections will call the manufacturer to determine if the dress in-stock and can be shipped immediately. A rush cut or rush ship is available at an extra charge. A non-refundable deposit of 70% of the dress cost is needed to order the dress. The remainder is to be paid in full fifteen days after the dress arrives.
The stock dress I love is not in my size, how will I know what size to order?
Bridal Perfections consultants will assist you in the proper measurement of your dream dress. Usually measurements include bust, wait and hips, as well as a hollow to hem (length) measurement. Dresses range from sizes 2-30 or 2-18 or 16W-28W- check with your consultant for details on dress sizes. Your measurement will be compared to the manufacturer's size chart to find which size will create the best fit.
If measurements are taken, why are alterations necessary?
Depending on the gown, it may be necessary to order the dress size that will accommodate the largest body measurement. Please remember- dresses are not made to your measurements, so alterations may be necessary. Once the gown arrives, Bridal Perfections can give a free estimate on how much the alteration will cost. The gown is then adjusted to create the perfect fit for each individual. Alterations are a separate charge and never included in the cost of the dress.
I purchased my gown from another store, can I have my alterations completed at Bridal
Perfections? How long does it take, and what is the cost?
Bridal Perfections suggests ordering the dresses at least 4 months+ before the wedding. This gives enough time for the dresses to be received by the manufacturer and then to be altered. Please be aware that dresses are often discontinued at little notice to the bridal shop. If you have found the dress of your dreams, Bridal Perfections suggest to order the dress and then have it stored at the bridal shop for safe keeping.
  What is your return policy?
Bridal Perfections has an "All sales final" policy. No refunds, returns, or cancellations are honored under any circumstances. This is standard in the bridal and special occasion purchases.
Is an appointment required to try on gowns?
Bridal Perfections does not require appointments to try on bridal or other formal dresses. Please come in at your convenience. Private appointments are also available by request.
